Version 1.0 · Effective 8 November 2026.
This Privacy Policy explains how Techular Solutions ("we", "us" or "our") collects, uses, stores and shares personal information when you visit our website, request a quotation, book or receive an IT service, make a payment, contact us, subscribe to a support package or use a customer portal.
This notice is intended to explain our processing in terms of the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA) and other applicable South African law. For privacy purposes, Techular Solutions may act as the responsible party for information it determines how and why to process. Where we process information on a business customer's documented instructions, our role and duties may also be governed by a separate agreement.
Business or postal address: Saldanha, West Coast.
This policy should be read with our Terms & Conditions and any service-specific agreement that applies to you.
The information we collect depends on how you interact with us. It may include:
Please provide only information relevant to your enquiry or service. Do not send passwords, identity documents, sensitive personal information or unrelated files unless we explain why they are needed and provide an appropriate way to send them.
We generally collect information directly from you when you submit a form, request a quotation, create or use an account, communicate with us, make a booking or receive support. We may also receive relevant information from a business customer who has authorised you to act on its behalf, from payment or delivery providers, or from the device or system being diagnosed where you have authorised that work.
Some technical information is generated by the website, portal, database, hosting environment or security systems when they operate. Where we obtain information from a source other than you, we will handle it as required by applicable law.
We may use personal information to:
POPIA does not require every use of personal information to be based on consent. Depending on the purpose and circumstances, our lawful grounds may include taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, performing a contract with you, complying with a legal obligation, pursuing a legitimate interest where that ground is appropriate, or obtaining consent where consent is required or chosen.
Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it, subject to applicable law. Withdrawal does not make processing already carried out lawfully before withdrawal unlawful, and it does not prevent processing that has a separate lawful ground. Where we rely on a legitimate interest, you may have a right to object on reasonable grounds relating to your particular situation.
Some information is needed to respond to a request, enter into or perform a service agreement, process a payment or comply with law. If you do not provide information that is necessary for that purpose, we may be unable to provide the requested quotation, booking or service. We will not treat acceptance of our Terms & Conditions as blanket consent to every type of personal-information processing.
Some technology or service providers may store or process information in countries outside South Africa, depending on the products, account settings and hosting regions we use. If personal information is transferred outside South Africa, we will take steps to ensure that the transfer complies with section 72 of POPIA, for example by relying on an applicable statutory condition and appropriate protections.
Some technology and service providers may store or process information outside South Africa. Where a cross-border transfer takes place, Techular Solutions will take the steps required by section 72 of POPIA, including relying on an applicable statutory condition and appropriate protections.
We keep information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including providing services, maintaining appropriate transaction and acceptance records, resolving disputes, protecting our systems and meeting legal or accounting requirements. The appropriate period depends on the type of record and the circumstances; different records may therefore be retained for different periods.
When information is no longer lawfully required, we will take reasonable steps to delete, destroy or de-identify it securely, subject to lawful backups, archival requirements and any legal hold. Deletion from active systems may not immediately remove every copy from secure backups, which are managed through their normal retention cycle.
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards appropriate to the information and risks involved. These may include access controls, limiting access to people who need it, secure connections, authentication, system updates, backups and monitoring for misuse. No website, network, device or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
If a security compromise triggers a notification obligation under POPIA, we will notify the Information Regulator and affected data subjects as required by law. Customers receiving support remain responsible for maintaining appropriate backups unless a written service agreement expressly assigns backup duties to us.
Subject to the conditions and exceptions in applicable law, you may have the right to:
To make a request, email us using the contact details below and describe what you need. We may need to verify your identity and may ask for further information to locate the relevant records and protect other people's information. Some information may need to be retained where required or permitted by law, even if you request its deletion. We will respond in accordance with applicable legal requirements and timelines.

Where a change is material, we will take reasonable steps to bring it to your attention where appropriate. The current version will be available on this page.
